Event Date: Saturday August 2, 2025 – 8:00 AM

Description: This will be destination ride to Iron Pony Motorsports on the Northeast side of Columbus and lunch at the famous G&R Tavern in Waldo, OH. Leave room in your saddlebags and tour pack for shopping. If you haven’t visited before, Iron Pony is a premier shopping experience for pretty much anything motorcycles related, and they are a multi-franchise dealer. We have allotted 1 ½ hours for your shopping and sightseeing pleasure and that will probably not seem like enough time. G&R Tavern in Waldo, OH is known for their “Famous” Fried Bologna sandwich considered the best in Ohio as well as their famous pies. G&R Tavern is CASH ONLY so come prepared with greenbacks. Plan on a later lunch arrival closer to 12:50 PM to accommodate our group size.

Road Conditions: The first 48 miles we’ll travel I-71 and then backroads to the west side of Columbus where we have to get on I-270 loop around the northside to Iron Pony Motorsports. Afternoon route will be a short ride on I 270 and I-71, then back roads to G&R Tavern for lunch. After lunch will be a Mandatory gas stop and a short ride on Route 23 and then back roads south around Xenia to our farewell stop at a Shell station at the intersection of Rt. 68 and I-71. Final leg will be 26 miles on I-71 back to Powder Keg Harley.

Costs: Lunch $12-$20 CASH ONLY.

Break Stops: Stops are roughly every hour.

Staging: 7:30 am BP Gas Station, 777 Mason Morrow Millgrove Rd, South Lebanon, OH 45036

Kickstands Up: 8:00 am

Return Time: 6:15 pm

Please arrive with tanks full, people empty
