Helmets: West Virginia does require motorcyclists to wear a helmet so plan accordingly.

Description: Curves, Curves, and more Curves. If you are looking for a relaxing cruise, this is not the ride for you. But if you want an energetic ride through some amazing corners, this ride will definitely satisfy that craving. This ride will have sweeping curves, radius curves, blind curves, and sharp turns. The ride will include the entirety of the OH 555 “Triple Nickle” referred to as Ohio’s Tail of the Dragon, as well as Rt. 50 and Rt. 20 in West Virginia and multiple routes around Wayne National Forest in OH that includes SR356, SR255, SR800 and SR26. There will be technical sections of this ride, but appropriate speeds and safety will be paramount.

Day 1: Our adventure will begin with a leisurely short morning ride on I-71 to Rt. 73 then Rt. 22 to Zanesville, OH. A stop at Fink’s Harley-Davidson and then we will take the northern entrance and tackle the entirety of the OH 555 “Triple Nickle”. Lunch is at Ron’s in Chesterhill, OH. After completing the “Tripple Nickle”, we’ll take Rt. 50 around Parkersburg, WV and hop on I-77 for a few short miles to visit Mothman Harley-Davidson. The last 4 miles of the day will be a Mandatory Fuel Fill Stop before arriving at our hotel.

Day 2: Quick hop on I-77 to get over the river into WV and off on backroads to get to Rt. 50 and over to Clarksburg, WV when we turn north to get us to the curvy WV Rt. 20. We’ll make our way to New Martinsville, WV to cross the river and have an afternoon filled with sharp curves starting with SR536 going to lunch at Buenos Amigos and then after lunch more curves with SR255 and SR800 then finishing with SR26 as we make our way back to the hotel. This will be a day of crazy backroads and curvy routes where you will ask yourself at times, when do the curves stop?

Day 3: Leaving Marietta, OH we’ll take portions of some of the Ohio Windy 9 routes including Rt. 676, Rt. 550 and Rt. 329, making our way down to Hwy. 50 and head west towards home. Lunch is planned at The Porch Grill in Hillsboro, OH and on the final leg back to Powder Keg HD will be an ice cream stop at Miranda’s Ice Cream in Morrow, OH.
